Studying medicine in the Eastern European and EU membership countries has become a very popular alternative for many international students. The level of education is generally very high while entrance requirements are slightly less stringent.

In India, after 10+2 students have to appear for entrance test like PMT, CBSE or AFMC etc to get admission into about five-year graduate programme of MBBS.

These entrance tests are hard to clear and generally students end up missing it.Even if you choose to take admission in any private college in India that too will cost your lot of money in the form of donation and tuition fees which will come around 80 lakhs and above, according to the said market rate.

Fortunately  there is another way for pursuing your dream of studying  MBBS, from a recognized Medical University in any of the Eastern European countries which is cheaper and easy to enter. After successfully completing MBBS from there  you will have to appear for the Screening Test in India conducted by the Medical Council of India to obtain a licensure to practice medicine in the country. This will be followed by a one-year residency programme. And then you will become a full-fledged practicing doctor. The MBBS degree from these countries are also valid in US and UK.

Nations such as  Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria  and few others have universities which offer MBBS graduate programme and have rankings in WHO and Medical Council of India (MCI) recognised list of colleges. The tuition fee is much lesser than what medical students spend in studying in US, UK or private medical colleges of India. The cost of living is about 50% less than what it is in US or UK. Added to this, the admission to these universities is direct after 10+2 without any entrance examination.
